Pentas Tenaga MILO® Returns to Spark Youth Courage at UKM & UNITEN

It was more than just a talk—it was a movement of energy, stories, and soul. When MILO® brought Pentas Tenaga to life at UKM recently, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement, inspiration, and yes—thousands of cups of the iconic, energising chocolate drink we all grew up with.

This second-year edition of Pentas Tenaga MILO® made a powerful comeback with a mission close to our hearts at 1319 Media: empowering Malaysia’s youth with courage, grit, and purpose. Aptly themed “Tenaga untuk Berani” (Energy to Be Courageous), the event united more than 220 students with influential voices who turned their own struggles into stepping stones.

Held at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), this event wasn’t just about listening—it was about feeling, relating, and rising. Four speakers shared their unique journeys of courage, from entertainment to entrepreneurship and sports. Each story added a spark to the fire burning in the hearts of the young audience.

One voice that resonated was Nadhir Nasar, a rising actor and filmmaker who spoke candidly about creative risks in the ever-challenging Malaysian entertainment industry. His message? Don’t wait for the perfect moment—create it.

Following him, Erysha Emyra, recently crowned Anugerah Bintang Popular’s “New Popular Female Artist,” opened up about stepping out of her famous mother’s shadow and building her own identity in the limelight. Her presence was magnetic—an embodiment of grace and grit.

Host engaging with Friends of MILO® Nadhir Nasar and Erysha Emyra, alongside UKM students Nuraliya Natasha & Al-Amin who shared personal stories of courage.

But what truly made the stage come alive were the student stories. Al-Amin, a second-year UKM student and budding entrepreneur, left us in awe with his time management skills and business hustle—running three small ventures while acing his studies. His energy? Unmatched.

And let’s not forget Nuraliya Natasha, a Silat martial artist and student leader who broke stereotypes by excelling in both academic and extracurricular realms. Her story reminded every young woman in the room: you can be both strong and scholarly.

Dr. Aida Hanim A. Hamid, Director of the Centre for Industry & Community Partnerships at UKM (center, fifth from the right), joined UKM staff in showing their love for MILO® in front of the iconic MILO® truck.

The event didn’t just stay on stage—it extended into a full-on experiential zone. Students participated in a symbolic tyre-flip challenge, flipping heavy 40kg tyres marked with negative words into positive affirmations. The physical feat represented inner strength and community resilience, leaving a powerful impression on everyone who tried it.

Of course, no MILO® event is complete without the iconic MILO® truck, which served over 5,000 cups of chocolatey goodness. It wasn’t just a drink—it was a nostalgic moment for many, and a first taste of childhood joy for others.

Students worked together to flip a 40kg tyre printed with negative words, revealing positive ones on the other side, demonstrating teamwork and resilience to overcome challenges.

As part of its 75-year journey in nourishing Malaysia’s champions, MILO® continues to evolve its platform beyond sports into character building, mental resilience, and leadership. Pentas Tenaga MILO® stands as a beacon for today’s youth—showing that strength isn’t just physical; it’s emotional, spiritual, and collective.

This inspiring journey doesn’t stop here. The next chapter unfolds at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) in the coming month, where new voices—including Malaysia’s renowned athletes—will take the stage. We can’t wait to see more stories ignite and more students rise.

Until then, we salute MILO® for championing this movement, and for keeping the flame of youth courage burning bright in campuses across the nation.
